PACTUM BAALIS
The Grimoire of Simon Magus
It’s 3:00AM. Hyne is seated in his upper-floor living room overlooking Manhattan and the Hudson River, nursing a scotch. Cutty Sark. Nothing smooth around the edges. He’s doin’ thinkin’ drinkin’ – and wants something hardcore.
On his lap is a weatherbeaten, leather-bound softcover book with faded gold-leaf English script on the cover: The Grimoire of Simon Magus. On its inside cover is an inscription:
“Write on the square below with this stylus any topic you seek my insight on, and the inside pages will fill with my response…”
A silver stylus is inside a leather pocket next to the words.
Hyne slowly extracts the implement and writes inside the scratched, stained-white area below the inscription his request:
“Pacta sunt Servanda”
Hyne takes a breath and waits a few seconds before his turns the pages to find a response from The Magus. A paragraph appears as if by magic – which, of course, it is.
“Pacta Sunt Servanda is the fundamental legal principle translated from the Latin as “Agreements must be kept”. It is a cornerstone of Western Civilization requiring that legally binding commitments must be upheld by all parties to them.
Pacta sunt Servanda is a fundamental doctrine of the Roman Canon Law. According to Roman Catholic Theology, breaking a mutual agreement is a sin. Cardinal Hostiensis in the 13th Century introduced this Doctrine into Roman Canonical Jurisprudence and it was approved by full Papal authority thereafter.
The cautionary tale of 16th Century German Alchemist and Necromancer Johann Georg Faust specifically references the phrase “Pacta sunt Servanda” as a warning label to mankind. Faust, an intellectual and brilliant scholar, voluntarily summons Mephistopheles and signs a contract exchanging his immortal soul for ultimate knowledge, power and worldly pleasures. The bargain ultimately destroys him.
When Faust inscribes his name on the dotted line – in his own blood – binding his soul to the Devil in return for ill-gotten gains, Mephistopheles makes him also write “Pacta sunt Servanda” next to his signature to underscore the solemnity of his commitment.
Pacts with the Devil always include this phase with the signature of their contracted parties.”
Hynes’ next question is a bit more arcane – more nuanced with religious implications.
“Who has power on Earth to bind the souls of their acolytes to commit unspeakable acts in return for Satanic favors?”
The book is like a Grok or Gemini search engine. Within seconds, the wisdom of Simon Magus populates on the page face clearly and concisely.
“According to Roman Catholic Canon Law, only a Cardinal has the authority to bind the souls of baptized Catholics to an Agreement he has entered on their behalf.
The Orthodox faith has no direct equivalent to a Cardinal. All the upper-tier religious offices of Orthodoxy – Patriarchs, Metropolitans and Archbishops – do not possess the sacramental authority to bind Orthodox Christians to legal agreements negotiated on their behalf. In Orthodox theology, each man is the captain of his own soul.
The Roman Catholic Cardinal’s sacramental authority in that regard is unprecedented but recognized and implicitly ratified by Papal Authority since the Middle Ages. A Roman Catholic Cardinal is a Prince of the Church and his signature to a Contract binds the Church and all Catholics. His word is law.”
Hynes’ last question is practical.
“How do I contact Archgangel Gabriel?”
He looks at the pages. The Grimoire of Simon Magus responds almost instantaneously.
“You already have.”
Hyne no sooner takes a belt of his scotch when Ursus sits up and lets out a low growl. Smiling, Hyne turns to his left.
“Hello, Gabriel.”
The Archangel is wearing his signature flowing and hooded white-satin getup. In spite of his serious face, he’s as sarcastic as ever with that nasal, snarky Bitchy British accent of his.
ARCHANGEL GABRIEL:
“Well, Well. You‘ve been quite the busy boy!!!
Slaying Abbadon’s killer scorpions. Vampyres. And a SubArchon Coven Leader! Not a bad day’s work!
By the way – nice Doggie – almost perfect in every way”.
As if on cue, Ursus lets out another low growl. Hyne sits on a chair across from the Archangel and dispenses with the small talk.
HYNE:
“Ursus is beyond perfect in every way. But hear me, Archangel –
You approached me last time for a reason – that you didn’t reveal.
Jacob Brugge, Lieutenant in the Pope’s Swiss Guard, was butchered and left in the Piazza San Pietro – Saint Peter’s Square!! That was a warning to the Church. Why?
I’ll tell you why: the Pope’s Swiss Guard failed to fix something that’s got His Holiness by his throat.
And it has something to do with what SubArchon Davalios blurted out before I killed him:
Pacta sunt Servanda”.
Archangel Gabriel nods with a solemn look on his face. A weary resignation and sadness cloud his usually haughty and arrogant eyes.
ARCHANGEL GABRIEL:
“Yes…
PACTUM BAALIS…THE PACT OF BAAL
His Holiness has landed in an existential predicament that can quite possibly end Roman Catholicism forever.
But first – some context. PACTUM BAALIS – THE PACT OF BAAL – is all about child sacrifice.
Ancient Hebrews and Assyrians worshipped a pagan deity name BAAL. His statues depicted a muscular and formidable bipedal beast with the head of a bull and a taste for human flesh. The Hebrews and Assyrians would throw their infant children into a fire pit that blazed at his feet to prove their devotion to him. Some Babylonians and Akkadians called BAAL by their own name – Sha-Tan, which was later conjoined into Satan. Canaanites called him Moloch. By whatever name – one is a composite of them all. The same malevolent entity.
The Hebrews eventually called him Yahweh and dedicated an entire Bible to him. He later bullied and tyrannized his “chosen” tribe to murder nearly everyone in the Levant and steal their land. Yahweh is what we call a “Demiurgos” – an evil Demiurge – who has been sowing seeds of death and destruction throughout the Middle East for centuries and has convinced an entire race of people that he is their God.
Some deluded Christians even today believe Yahweh is “God the Father” in New Testament references. Can you imagine? Yahweh the father of Jesus Christ? Inconceivable!
Throughout history, child sacrifice – even in the Old Testament story of Abraham being commanded to sacrifice his son, Isaac – has a pride of place among rituals that demonstrate man’s ultimate fealty to “God”. These blood rituals have never stopped. And acquiring children for such sacrifices has always been a shadowy business employing the scum of the underworld. In these circles, vast sums of money change hands. Of course, child sacrifice is against the law. But sometimes even our advanced codes of jurisprudence can be twisted into anomalous outcomes.
Which leads us to “Pacta sunt Servanda” and PACTUM BAALIS – THE PACT OF BAAL
You see, Pacta sunt Servanda isn’t just some arcane legal principle. To a Catholic, it is Canon Law. Not to Honor a contract is a sin. The Pope must Honor all Contracts that bind the Church. He cannot willingly engage in sinful conduct.
Unfortunately – a renegade Cardinal has signed in his official capacity as a Prince of the Church a heinous contract, PACTUM BAALIS, that binds the Holy Roman Catholic Church and all its worshippers to offer up their young to human sacrifice. Cardinal Angelo Franchetti, Head of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) – ironically, the Vatican’s moral watchdog – is a closeted homosexual and deviant. He has a lavish lifestyle and needs money.
Franchetti has entered into PACTUM BAALIS with Rebbe Zvi-Mordechai Schnoorbrun, the Chief Hebrew Rabbi in Brooklyn, New York, and the Chief Archon of Vampyres – Pistorius. By the terms of PACTUM BAALIS, any Catholic child is fair game to be hunted, abducted and used to harvest for Adrenochrome – and then bled-out and fed upon.
By entering into PACTUM BAALIS, Rebbe Zvi-Mordechai Schnoorbrun satiates his visceral hatred of Catholics – that he calls “cursed Nazarenes” – and finds favor in the eyes of his Old Testament God, Yahweh. Tremendous sums of money are involved. The amounts paid to Cardinal Franchetti alone – a fee per Catholic child – are staggering. Then there’s the bounty from Adrenochrome shared in equal parts by the three parties. That magic chemical the adrenal glands of young boys and girls secrete whilst in the grip of absolute terror is the ultimate prize for those who can pay. It is predatory bliss that makes Heroin look like a shot of cheap vodka.
Schnoorbruns’ Hebrew sect prays the 12th Benediction of the Amidah, the so-called Birkat Haminim, three times per day. It is their daily liturgical curse upon all Nazarines – followers of Christ, or “Noztrim”. His hatred of Jesus and Catholics drove him to approach the depraved Cardinal Franchetti with PACTUM BAALIS, knowing that under Ecclesiastical Law, Cardinal Franchetti’s signature would bind all Catholics to its terms. He considers it payback for the indignities his people suffered under the Spanish Inquisition and other Papal Decrees. An enormous initial bribe was tendered to Cardinal Franchetti to lure him in.
Chief Archon Belisarius signed PACTUM BAALIS on behalf of the Vampyres. There are three scrolls of the Contract – one for each signatory – all animal skin and inked in the blood of innocents. The individual signatories – Cardinal Franchetti, Rebbe Schnoorbrun and Chief Archon Belisarius – executed it in their own blood and wrote next to their signatures the phrase “Pacta sunt Servanda”. Each individual scroll of PACTUM BAALIS was then sealed with the blood thumbprint of its signatory.
But bear in mind – and this is important – PACTUM BAALIS is a composite of three scrolls. When joined together the three scrolls become the Agreement. Only when each scroll signed by each signatory in their blood is delivered into the hands of The First Demon of Lucifer, Azazel, will the Agreement become binding on the Church and irrevocable under Catholic Canon law. Only then can it be used to force His Holiness to ratify its terrible contents. Only then will it be PACTUM BAALIS.
The solution?
All three scrolls must be found and consumed in fire before they are handed off to the Demon Azazel. Once Azazel presents them to Lucifer, all is lost. The Catholic Church will be bound by its own law to discharge the Hellish obligations contained therein. His Holiness will be fatally compromised and Catholics the world over will turn their backs on the One True Faith. It will be the end of the Vatican, the end of Roman Catholicism and the ultimate humiliation of Jesus Christ. Even the survival and exposure of one nefarious scroll would cause incalculable embarrassment to the Holy See. Its prestige and credibility would be permanently blighted. The Pope will become a pariah.
Archon Belisarius knows the stakes are high and will spare no effort to protect Rebbe Zvi-Mordechai Schnoorbrun and Cardinal Franchetti until the original three scrolls that are PACTUM BAALIS can be presented to Azazel – and thence to Lucifer.
This is truly a Biblical struggle.
So, I ask you one question, Hyne –
Will you help us?”
Hyne looks directly into Archangel Gabriels’ eyes and calmly states his intention.
HYNE:
“I will kill them all. I will burn each evil scroll in fire. This is my oath.
